CRC provides a live-in restoration men's home free of charge to anyone who is suffering from a drug and/or alcohol addiction and is ready to turn their life over to Jesus Christ. The men's home is a dormitory-style group living facility located in the West End, just outside of downtown Cincinnati. During this nine-month program, each person is set free from life-controlling habits and sin through the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. They are taught Biblical principles that will equip and sustain them as they become productive, law-abiding Christian members of the community. Among the many qualities we teach are accountability, responsibility, and a diligent work ethic.
Each day in the men's home begins at 6:00 AM. Morning devotion begins at 6:30 and is over at approximately 8:30. This devotion time includes personal Bible study, prayer, worship songs and a group Bible study conducted by staff. After morning devotion, breakfast is served and thereafter the daily chores are begun. Each resident in the men's home is given a specific responsibility around the facility and held accountable for that responsibility.
The bulk of the day, (10:00 to 5:00), the residents are involved in various activities including evangelizing, fund-raising and/or various other household duties including food preparation. Every resident of the men's home is required to participate in the activity they have been assigned to - loitering is not permitted. Dinner is at 6:30.
The evening hours offer another devotion from 8:00 to 8:40 which includes prayer, worship and a group Bible study. 9:40 to 10:00 is set aside for personal Bible study and 10:00 is lights out.
Through this daily regimen, we are able to re-instill in the men a work ethic that encourages them to be punctual, responsible, and hard-working. We are confident this will prepare them for the pressures and duties of life in the work force when they graduate the men's home.
